Despite the heavy snowfall, those who gathered on Sanat Street marched to Seyit Reza Square in decors. The celebrations, in which the police took extensive security measures, began with the deputies and the mayor lighting the nowruz fire. HDP Tunceli Deputy Alican Önlü, HDP Mus deputy Gulistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, Mayor Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu, Deputy Chairman of the Labor Party Umut Yeğin, representatives of non-governmental organizations and political parties also participated in the celebrations.

HDP Mus Deputy Gulistan Kılıç Koçyiğit emphasized the '3rd alliance' and criticized the Parliamentary Alliance. Koçyiğit, stated that:

“We have established our third road alliance, our path is obvious. We are an alliance of oppressed women, young people, workers, Alevis, and our comrades who do not give up and do not tell secrets. Our alliance is invincible, our alliance is unshakable. There is faith, comradeship, struggle, democracy in yeast. But we would also like to say a few words to those who have formed an alliance today and expressed that they will come out and create a "new Turkey". If this alliance does not see the Kurdish problem, if it does not see the problem of the Alevi who has been denied for a hundred years in this country, if their cemevi are still not places of worship in this country, if the Alevi children are still being assimilated in compulsory religious classes, and you do not have a solution, road map, and promise to all this, sorry; you have no difference from an alliance to another alliance. We say it very clearly and clearly.”

The Nowruz event continued with the shooting of halays accompanied by drum zurna.
