He had attracted the reaction of users: Twitter took a step back

With the update that Twitter released for its mobile applications last week, it had removed the chronological sorting option by default on the main page. Users started seeing popular tweets first, whether they wanted to or not, and the company also divided the tweets into two different tabs, “latest” and “popular”.

As soon as I opened Twitter, those who wanted to see the latest tweets by default on the main page reacted to this situation.

“Are we going to swipe right every time to see the posts in chronological order?" users who criticized the company for their words said that this experience was frustrating. Twitter, on the other hand, took a step back on all these reactions.

THE CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER HAS COME BACK

According to SHIFTDELETE, the social media company has restored the chronological sorting feature to the application by default on reactions from users. After installing the new update, which can be downloaded via the App Store or the Google Play Store, you can set the latest tweets to appear first on the main page, just like before.

DESCRIPTION FROM TWITTER

In its statement on the matter, Twitter said:

"We have heard of you. Some of you always want to see the latest tweets first. While we continue to explore other options, we have rolled back the timeline and removed the tabbed experience for now."

While Twitter has brought back the chronological ranking feature by default, it has also not forgotten those who want to see popular tweets on the main page first. After pressing the star icon in the upper right corner and selecting “Switch to homepage”, you will see popular tweets customized according to your interest every time you open the application.

If you want to switch to chronological order again, just tap the star icon again and press “Switch to the latest tweets”. When you do this, you will see the tweets shared by the people you follow on the main page in chronological order. The two separate tab experiences that came with the update released on Friday have also been removed.
